1. Choose fresh andrographis: Fresh andrographis leaves are bright green, with a lubricated surface, bright green and lustrous, soft texture and no yellowing or dryness. This fresh andrographis usually contains a higher content of andrographolides.
2. No obvious wounds in appearance: Pick Andrographis without obvious wounds, pests, etc. This will ensure the purity of the extracted Andrographis andrographolides.
3. Selecting well-grown andrographis: It is more appropriate to select andrographis that are grown in a good ecological environment for andrographolide extraction. 6. Extraction process
Production process: Our andrographolide powder is extracted from Andrographis paniculata leaves and soaked in 95% ethanol. The resulting ethanol is soaked and the liquid is decolorized with activated carbon. The decolorized liquid is distilled to recover the ethanol and the concentrated liquid is left to stand to obtain a coarse crystal product. The coarse crystals are added 15 times. Heating and dissolving an amount of 95% ethanol, decolorizing the activated carbon, filtering while hot, and leaving to recrystallize to obtain a light yellow recrystallized product, which is then washed and refined with distilled water, chloroform, and methanol to obtain the finished product.
