The separated grape seeds need to be washed, dried at low temperature to control moisture, and undergo preliminary screening to remove residual impurities.
Extraction and Solid-Liquid Separation
The extraction solvent is prepared strictly according to an ethanol:water ratio of 70:30 (v/v). This ensures efficient dissolution of polyphenols from the grape seeds while inhibiting excessive leaching of unnecessary monomers. The pretreated grape seeds and solvent are added to a pressure-resistant extraction tank at a feed-to-liquid ratio of 1:10 (w/v). The entire extraction process is conducted under "low oxygen, low humidity, and high pressure" conditions. "Low oxygen" is achieved by purging the tank with inert gases such as nitrogen to replace the air; "low humidity" is achieved by dehumidifying the sealed environment; and pressurization is used to improve solvent penetration and the efficiency of dissolving active ingredients. After extraction, a polyphenol-rich liquid extract is obtained by filtration or centrifugation. The residue can be further processed for grape seed oil production.
Concentration and Refining
The extract is pumped into a vacuum concentrator. Under low temperature and reduced pressure, most of the water and some ethanol are evaporated to obtain a high-concentration grape seed extract paste.
