Part1. What is chamomile extract apigenin?
Apigenin is a bioflavonoid compound that can be found in various plants and herbs. Chamomile tea is very plentiful and exerts anxiety-reducing effects when taken in high doses. In higher doses, it can be a sedative.
A large number of studies at home and abroad have found that apigenin has various biological activities such as anti-tumor, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection, anti-virus, and anti-bacterial.
There are many functions and benefits of apigenin, among which the antioxidant effect is the main reason why it is sought after by everyone.

Part2. Two main sources of apigenin
2) Parsley extract apigenin
Part3. The efficacy of apigenin
1) Apigenin is also a very effective anticancer compound. It is highly selective to cancer cells and can induce apoptosis of cancer cells with high selectivity without damaging normal cells. It also has a very high safety threshold, and active (cancer-fighting) doses can be obtained by consuming a diet rich in vegetables and fruits. Apigenin beneficially affects most types of cancer.
2) Apigenin can exert neuroprotective effects against excitotoxicity and prevent calcium accumulation in nerve mitochondria.
3) Apigenin and two glucopyranosides of apigenin can exert anti-diabetic effect in vivo.
4) Apigenin exerts its anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting NO synthase and COX2 enzyme in macrophages through the influence of lipopolysaccharide. Apigenin also has the effect of inhibiting the production of interleukin-4. Apigenin can also inhibit TNFα elevation by interfering with NF-kb transcription and potentially TNFα-induced upregulation of adhesion molecule 1.
Apigenin is one of the known bioflavonoid compounds, which can induce selective apoptosis of cancer cells in vivo with high selectivity. Like other bioflavonoids, apigenin reduces oxidative stress, induces cell cycle arrest, increases liver detoxification enzyme efficacy, and to some extent acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.
