Part1. What is fennel seed extract?
The main components of fennel are protein, fat, dietary fiber, anethole, fennelone, anisaldehyde, etc. Anise Seed Extract (Anise Seed Extract) is extracted from the root of fennel. It is a brownish yellow powder.It has the effects of treating cold colic, abdominal pain, testicular deviation, dysmenorrhea, cold pain in the lower abdomen, abdominal distension and pain, less food, vomiting and diarrhea, and testicular hydrocele.

Part2. Chemical Composition
The composition of volatile oil contained in fennel fruit is very complex, the main component is trans-anethole 63.4%, followed by limonene 13.1%, fenchone 12.1%, others estragole 4.7%, γ-terpinene 2.7%, α-pinene 1.9% , myrcene 0.7%, β-pinene 0.4%, camphor0.2%, camphene 0.1%, methoxyphenyl acetone 0.1% and traces of sabinene, α-phellandrene, p-cymene, 1, 8-cineole, 4-terpineol, trans- fencho- lacetate, anisaldehyde etc. The sixteen kinds of fatty acids identified in the fruit fat oil are: 10—octadecenoic acid 38.0%, arachic acid 31.4%, plmitic acid 21.2%, behenic acid 2.8%, myristic acid 2.2%, stearic acid 2.2%, lauric acid 0.2%, pentadecanofc acid 0.2%, henicosanoic acid 0.2%, etc. The fruit also contains stigmasterol, umbelliferone, a wax mixture composed of palmitic acid, arachidic acid, behenic acid and higher alcohols larger than octadecyl carbon, β-sitosierol, xanthotoxin, α-amyrin, imperatorin, bergapten and marmesin.
Part3. Pharmacological effects
1. Fennel also has anti-ulcer, analgesic, and sex hormone-like effects, and fennel oil has antibacterial effects to varying degrees.
2. It can stimulate gastrointestinal nerves and blood vessels, promote the secretion of saliva and gastric juice, increase appetite and help digestion.
