2). Difference between the constituents of the soil
The chemical composition of rehmannia glutinosa is basically the same as rehmannia glutinosa. There are sugar, amino acid, cataractl, lemantin, rhehinosides (a, B, d), bell basoside, trace elements, etc. the content is different. For example, the content of zinc alcohol decreased and the content of monosaccharide increased. During the processing stage of Rehmannia glutinosa, the content of reducing sugar in Rehmannia glutinosa showed an increasing trend, while the content of total sugar remained basically unchanged. With increasing processing time, the content of soluble protein continued to increase and gradually tended to balance. The iridoid and iridoid glycosides, which are native constituents in raw ground yolks, are rarely included in the processed yellow soil. The 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural (5-hydroxymethyl-2-furfural) isolated from the yellow soil was not detected in the extracts of untreated yellow soil.

Habitat: It often grows on barren hillsides, foothills, walls, roadsides, etc. at an altitude of 50-1100 meters.
Origin: Mainly produced in Henan, Zhejiang, Hebei, Hunan, Hubei, Sichuan and other places. Wenxian, Boai, Wuzhi, Mengxian and other places in Henan Province have large output and good quality.
Harvesting and processing: excavate in autumn, remove reed heads, fibrous roots and silt, and use fresh; or slowly bake Rehmannia glutinosa until about 80% dry. The former is commonly called "Fresh Rehmannia", and the latter is commonly called "Raw Rehmannia". It is processed into Rehmannia glutinosa.

Preparation method: (1) Take rehmannia glutinosa and stew it in wine. Take dried Rehmannia glutinosa and add 30% rice wine, stir, put it in a steamer, steam until the inside and outside are black and moist, stew until the wine is absorbed, take it out, let it dry in the air until the mucus on the skin is slightly dry, cut into thick slices or pieces, and dry to get ready. (2) Take rehmannia glutinosa and steam it according to the method. Take the dried rehmannia glutinosa and steam it in a steamer for 8 hours, stew it overnight, turn it over the next day and steam it again for 4-8 hours, then steam it for another night until it is dark and moist, take it out, dry it in the sun until it is 80% dry, slice it, and then dry it in the sun.
