[Habitat distribution] It often grows below 500 m above sea level in northeastern China and between 1400 and 2200 m above sea level in north China and northwestern China. Distributed in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia.

[Vegetable Form] Shrub or tree, up to 10 meters tall. Dark taupe bark, old trees have longitudinal cracks, conical or round crowns, etc. The leaves are 3 whorls, needle-like.
