7. Benefits and Application
Benefits
7.1. Helps relieve migraines
What are migraines?
A migraine is a moderate to severe headache affecting one side of the head. They are usually accompanied by a tingling or sharp pain. In test-tube studies, compounds in feverfew, such as parthenolide and tanrolactone, helped block the production of prostaglandins, molecules that promote inflammation. Other test-tube studies suggest that parthenolide may work by inhibiting serotonin receptors, which prevent platelets from releasing inflammatory molecules, which in turn prevents blood vessels in the brain from widening (vasodilation) and prevents smooth muscle spasms. All of these factors are associated with migraines.
The current study found that feverfew was only more effective than a placebo in treating and preventing migraines. Further studies are needed to draw conclusions.

7.2. Other potential benefits
In addition to treating migraines, feverfew has other potential health benefits:
7.2.1. Anticancer effects: Test-tube studies have shown that feverfew compounds can inhibit certain cancer cells.
7.2.2. Pain Relief: The anti-inflammatory properties of feverfew help relieve pain.
7.2.3. Helps reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
7.2.4. Treats rosacea: Topical creams containing parthenolide-free feverfew extract can help treat rosacea by reducing inflammation. Parthenolide can irritate the skin, which is why it was removed from topical creams.

7.3.Possible side effects
Feverfew is generally considered safe, with few reported side effects. However, research has only focused on its short-term effects on the body. Long-term effects (beyond four months) have not been studied.
1. In some cases, feverfew can cause side effects such as stomach pain, heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and menstrual changes.
2. Pregnant women should avoid taking feverfew because it can cause early contractions. Also, there isn't enough research to make sure it's safe for women who are breastfeeding.
3. People who are allergic to ragweed or other plants related to Compositae or Compositae should also avoid using it.

4. It is best to consult your physician first, as supplements may interact with certain medications, especially blood thinners and liver medications.
Feverfew is generally safe and has few side effects, but some people should avoid it. If you have any concerns, it is best to consult your doctor.
7.4.Dosage and Recommendations
Currently, there is no official recommended dosage of feverfew.
1. Studies have shown that taking 100-300mg of feverfew supplements containing 0.2-0.4% parthenolide 1-4 times a day can treat migraine.
2. Feverfew is also available as a liquid extract or tincture and is often used to relieve arthritis. However, there is not enough evidence to recommend it for this purpose.
3. It can also be used as tea.
4. Remember that feverfew is not suitable for certain people and those taking certain medications. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
While there is no official recommended dose of feverfew, 100 to 300 mg of a supplement containing 0.2 to 0.4% parthenolide taken 1 to 4 times daily appears to be most effective in treating or preventing migraine attacks.
Application
Feverfew Herb Extract is widely used in the medical field. It is commonly used to treat migraine, arthritis, rheumatism, dysmenorrhea, leukemia, etc.
