8. Benefits and Application
Benefits
8.1. Effects on hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis function
It improves the luteinizing function of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovary by increasing the reactivity of the pituitary to LRH and the reactivity of the ovary to LH.

8.2. Anti-inflammatory and analgesic
Ethanol extract of Morinda officinalis has some anti-rheumatoid arthritis effects, and its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects are closely related to the reduction of the content of inflammatory mediator PGE2. Morinda officinalis ethanol extract, ethyl acetate fraction and n-butanol fraction have significant inhibitory effects on the NO content produced by LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages, indicating that Morinda officinalis may exert anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting NO production.

8.3. Antioxidant effect
Morinda officinalis water extract has anti-oxidation effect of the oil, and the anti-oxidation effect improves with the increase of the added amount.
8.4. Antibacterial effect
Morinda officinalis water extract has better antibacterial effect on bacteria, especially strong antibacterial ability on Staphylococcus aureus, but weak inhibitory effect on yeast and mold.
8.5. Benefits for cardiomyocytes
Morinda officinalis n-butanol extract has a protective effect on cardiomyocytes injured by hypoxia/reoxygenation, and its protective effect may be related to the reduction of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 content.
8.6. Immunostimulating effect
Morinda officinalis oligosaccharides can promote cellular immunity.

8.7. Antidepressant effect
The antidepressant mechanism of action is mainly carried out by the transmitter 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT).
8.8. Improve Memory
Bajisu's stimulatory effect on the long-term potentiation (LTP) of hippocampal synapses may be one of the synaptic mechanisms promoting learning and memory.
8.9. Promotes Bone Growth
Morinda officinalis water extract and Morinda officinalis polysaccharide can significantly promote the proliferation of in vitro cultured osteoblasts, promote the secretion of alkaline phosphatase and osteocalcin by osteoblasts, and promote the expression of mRNA of transforming growth factor β1 in osteoblasts, and the polysaccharide of Morinda officinalis Tian is superior to the aqueous extract of Morinda officinalis.

Application
It is widely used in medical care and is often used to enhance the sexual function intensity of men and women. It is used for impotence, premature ejaculation, back and knee pain and infertility. It is also used by women to treat infertility and frigidity.
