3.1 Extract source

Black cohosh is also known as black snakeroot and rattlesnake root.  Indians drink the concoction of decocted black cohosh root to relieve fatigue and treat sore throat, arthritis and snake bites. But black cohosh is mainly used for some gynecological diseases. Linnaeus included black cohosh in "Materia Medica" in 1749, and it became one of the main medicines of homeopathy in the early 20th century. Modern studies in Germany have proven the effectiveness and safety of black cohosh in the treatment of menopause-related symptoms, and it is recommended to treat symptoms such as premenstrual syndrome, abdominal pain during menstruation, and menopausal depression. Black cohosh is included in the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia and the US Pharmacopoeia from 1820 to 1926.

More than two centuries ago, Native Americans found that the root of black cohosh can help alleviate menstrual pain and menopausal symptoms including red tide fever, irritability, emotional instability and sleep disorders. Today, black cohosh root is still used for these purposes. In fact, this herb has been widely used in Europe for more than 40 years. I Black cohosh is also called general cohosh, and its main active ingredient is terpene glycoside. Black cohosh can produce estrogen-like effect and regulate endocrine balance, thus helping to relieve the uncomfortable symptoms of insomnia, hot flashes, back pain and emotional loss during menopause. At least eight special test reports show that using "black cohosh" to improve the accompanying symptoms of menopausal women is both safe and effective. Therefore, many doctors recommend black cohosh high concentration extract to menopausal women in clinical practice.

【Plant form】Perennial herb, up to 9 feet, smooth stem, large zigzag compound leaves on the stem, many flowers, small, white, nodules on the root, bitter and sour.
