1. Product Introduction

Lychee Seed Extract derived from the dry mature seeds of Litchi chinensis Sonn. Ripe fruit is picked in summer, and peel and fleshy aril are removed, washed, and dried in the sun. Its active ingredients mainly include total saponins, polysaccharides, flavonoids, and phenolic acids, which have the functions of lowering blood sugar, regulating blood lipids, anti-oxidation, anti-immunity and acute liver injury, and improving insulin sensitivity.

[Material form]: Lychee is an evergreen tree, generally 5-10 meters high, sometimes up to 20 meters high; the twigs are cylindrical. Alternate paripinnate compound leaves, 10-25 cm long, pedunculate; leaflets 2 or 3 pairs, rarely 4 pairs, thin coriaceous, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, 6-15 cm long, 2-2 4 cm broad, glossy above, lateral veins thin, slightly convex, glossy below, petiole about 7-8 long mm.
Flowers open in spring, unisexual, small, terminal, with a large panicle, covered with short golden hairs; calyx small, cupped, 5 teeth, lobes about 2 mm long, arranged in a valve; petals generally degenerate and disappear; stamens 6-8, male flower filament about 4 mm or slightly longer, female flower short, anther wall thick, non-dehiscent, ovary generally bilobed and 2 loculated, reduced to 2 in the male flower which leaves only residues.
The fruit is drupe-shaped, almost spherical, with dry, hard, thin skin, with tumorous protuberances, dark red when ripe. Yellowish brown seeds, white and endoplasmic arils, sweet and edible. The flowering period is 2-3 months and the fruiting period is 6-7 months. The nucleus is oblong or oval, slightly flattened, 1.5-2.2 cm long and 1-1.5 cm in diameter. The surface is red-brown or purplish-brown, smooth and shiny, with slight dips and fine ripples. There is a round yellow-brown hilum at one end, about 7 mm in diameter. Hard, 2 cotyledons, brownish yellow. Microgas, slightly sweet, bitter, astringent.
