1. Product Description
Bitter gourd extract is the fruit extract of Momordica charantia L β- Sitosterol- β- Glucoside and the molecular mixture of 5, 25-stigmasterene-3-glucoside), which also contains nicotinic acid, 5-hydroxytryptamine, vitamins and amino acids, has pharmacological activities such as hypoglycemic, anticancer, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-fertility, and enhancing immunity. The hypoglycemic effect of balsam pear extract has attracted much attention and has been deeply studied and widely used in India, China, Japan and other Asian countries. In medicine, momordica charantia extract has been used to treat diabetes and AIDS.
Balsam pear extract has good hypoglycemic effect, known as plant insulin. Total extract of type 2 diabetes. It is taken three times a day, 2g each time, and can keep the blood sugar at a normal level. Because it is plant extract, it has no side effects compared with western medicine antidiabetic drugs.

2.Preparation
Wash 150kg of fresh bitter gourd, remove the seeds, squeeze the juice into a slurry, squeeze and filter with a 20-mesh filter cloth, let it stand at 0~-5°C for 12 hours, and siphon out the supernatant to obtain about 90L of Bitter Melon Extract liquid. Store at 0~-5°C for later use. Take spare balsam pear extract 20L through the pretreated and filled 500ml macroporous resin adsorption column, control the outflow rate to 3L/h to collect the effluent. When the volume of the effluent reaches 12L, try the taste of the effluent every 20 minutes. It was found that when the volume of the effluent was about 16L, there was no bitter taste, when the volume of the effluent was 17L, there was a slight bitter taste, and when the volume of the effluent was 18L, there was an obvious bitter taste. Considering the influence of various conditions comprehensively, the ratio of liquid medicine and resin in the adsorption process is determined as: liquid medicine:resin=30:l(v/v), and the speed of the outflow liquid is 3L/h.
Take 30L of spare bitter melon extract liquid, pass it through the pretreated and filled 1000ml macroporous resin adsorption column according to the above adsorption conditions, and collect the effluent. The whole adsorption process takes about 10h. Then the collected effluent was spray-dried to obtain 215g of light yellow powder, which was the bitter melon extract. The powder has no bitter taste and is warm in nature.

4.2 Active ingredients of Bitter Melon Extract
The fruit of bitter gourd contains charantin, which is β-Sitosterol-β-D-glucoside (β-Sitosterol-β-D-glucoside) and 5,25-stigma-3-glucoside (5,25-stigma-3-glucoside). 25-Stigmastadien-3β-ol-β-D-glucoside) is an equimolecular mixture. It still contains 5-hydroxytryptamine and various amino acids such as glutamic acid, alanine, β-alanine, phenylalanine, proline, α-aminobutyric acid, citrulline, galacturonic acid, pectin. It also contains lipids. The fatty acids in bitter gourd are palmitic acid; stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, tung Acid (elacostearic acid).
4.3 Benefits and Application of Bitter Melon Extract
1). Hypoglycemic effect
Bitter melon is a proven hypoglycemic substance. One of the reliable hypoglycemic active substances is Momordica charantin, which is composed of a mixture of carotin and 5,25-stigmasterdienol glucoside. Therefore, it is very important to measure the bitter melon extract with the total active ingredients of balsam pear and balsam pear pavilion as the standard.

2). Anti-fertility effect
3). Antidiabetic effect
Bitter melon contains steroidal saponins such as charantin, insulin-like peptides, and alkaloids that confer hypoglycemic activity on bitter melon. Momordica charantin stimulates the release of insulin and hinders the formation of glucose in the blood stream. This function may play a huge role in the treatment of diabetes, especially non-insulin-dependent diabetes. This hypoglycemic function is attributed to two substances: (1) Momordica charantin - a crystalline substance obtained from the ethanol extract of the bitter melon fruit. Momordica charantin reduced the blood sugar in the total number of experimental rabbits by 42% under the control dose of 50mg/kg. Momordica exhibits pancreatic and extrapancreatic effects, and has mild antispasmodic and anticholinergic effects. (2) P-insulin (or v-insulin, because it is plant insulin). Its structure is a macromolecular polypeptide configuration, and its pharmacology is similar to that of bovine insulin. P-insulin consists of two polypeptide chains linked by disulfide bonds. Subcutaneous and intramuscular administration of P-insulin to diabetic patients has a hypoglycemic effect, and its peak period of action is different from that of bovine insulin after 2 hours, which occurs after 4-8 hours.

4). Anticancer effect of Bitter gourd extract

5). Effects on immune function
6). Antibacterial effect
Bitter melon ethanol extract has antibacterial effects on Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Shigella, Proteus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Bacillus aerogenes, Bacillus typhi, etc. Antibacterial drugs.

7). Suppresses HIV
Bitter melon extract can inhibit the surface activity of HIV, selectively kill HIV-infected lymphocytes and macrophages, significantly increase the number of T4 cells in patients, and the ratio of T4/T8 is relatively normal. New drugs for AIDS. The bitter melon immunodeficiency virus type I inhibitor (InhibitorofHIV-I) isolated from the bitter melon seeds also has inhibitory effect on HIV.

Application
Bitter Melon Extract is widely used in the medical field. It is clinically used to reduce blood sugar.
4.4 Modern application
1). Tumors, diabetes, and AIDS. Bitter melon is bitter and cold. It has the functions of relieving summer heat, purifying heat, improving eyesight and detoxifying. Clinically, bitter melon poison, bitter melon glycosides and active ingredient extracts are mostly used in the research and treatment of treating diabetes, anti-tumor and cancer, and anti-HIV.
2). 1 fresh bitter gourd with heatstroke fever, cut off and remove the pulp, put it into tea leaves, rejoin, hang it in a ventilated place to dry in the shade. 6-9g each time, decoct in water or soak in boiling water instead of tea.
