1. Product description

AHCC powder is a blend of ingredients derived from mushroom mycelium. The mycelium is the root-like part of the mushroom that grows in soil or wood, and the umbrella-like part of mushrooms that we usually eat is the fruiting body of the mushroom. AHCC is rich in partially acylated alpha-1,4 glucans, which are not normally found in mushrooms and can only be obtained through specialized manufacturing processes.

3.Chemical components

β-glucan is generally considered to be a functional component derived from basidiomycetes, but AHCC only contains about 0.2% of β-glucan, while α-glucan, which contains a large amount of glucan like Phellinus, among them, 2, 3 The presence of α-1,4-glucan in which the hydroxyl group at the position is partially acylated has been reported and is considered to be one of the active ingredients. This "partially acylated α-glucan" cannot be obtained simply by extracting basidiomycete cultures, but by enzymatically modifying ordinary α-glucan in AHCC's proprietary manufacturing process.

AHCC is immune to some viruses, such as influenza A (H1N1), avian H5N1, West Nile virus, MRSA) and several other opportunistic viruses.
