1. Anticholinesterase effect
Galantamine and Ricolamin are cholinesterase inhibitors. Lycoamine also inhibits cholinesterase, but the strength of the effect is less than that of galantamine.
2. Anti-tumor effect
The main components of Lycoris Radiata Extract are lycorine, pseudo-lycoris, and its derivative lycoris betaine (AT-1840), which interferes with the synthesis of DNA and RNA, causes cancer cells to swell and dissolve, and has a relatively strong effect on the division of early and mid-stage cancer cells. It has a strong inhibitory effect and has a direct killing effect on gastric cancer cells, and the strength of the effect is greater than that of 5-fluorouracil. Lycorine can strengthen the sedative effect of Corydalis and morphine.
5. Antihypertensive effect
Lycorine and dihydrolycorine have antihypertensive effects, which may be related to selective blocking of post-synaptic α2-receptors and calcium channels without blocking effects, and may also be related to the effects on β-adrenergic receptors and sympathetic nerve endings.
6. Other effects： Lycorine can inhibit cell mitosis and epidermal cell proliferation, and can treat psoriasis; Lycoris alcohol extract has the effect of lowering intraocular pressure and anti-inflammation.
